is a viewpoint enough? There are lots of people out there with strong viewpoints. As you pointed out it needs experiences to master something.

It also needs an open mindset as this allows you to develop yourself further. You need skills to decide what helps you on and what does harm you. It needs a strong ability to attract what you want and whom you want to attract.

I think you have been reading my mail. You certainly have the pulse of us newbies as we struggle with abilities that we feel are not up to par but at the same time they will never be up to par until we actually use and develop them. It is kind of like walking on egg shells. I guess it is the old fake it till you make it syndrome. I think it takes action most importantly, but action under guidance is probably the best business model. Until a newbie actually gets his/her own credibility, I guess it is best to ride the shirt tails of someone who has already been there and done that.

There is no substitute for experience, but how do you get that experience without a mentor? the learning curve is steep, but I have heard it is well worth it.
