When asking questions of your customers, remember to avoid asking questions that result in choices like yes or no.  Framing the question in an open-ended way permits the customer to explore their own thoughts and often leads to a much clearer idea about what they want.</description>

Nice post. I sometimes fail to ask for clarity. Thinking I understood what they have said. I am aware of this and try to ask questions and for them to please repeat their questions or concerns. I sincerely listen to the best of my ability but sometimes my mind is someplace else. As I said, I am very aware of what I need to do and am working on improving my listening skills.

the art of communicating of Ideas can not lead to understanding and therefore
a Rapport can not be established, therefore ..a solution to a Pain is unobtainable.

And also if a customers has an  idea in mind what he wants, how should he know it is possible? If the webdesigner refuses to listen than the answer will be far beside the question. 

In the end the customer is angry and will it tell several people hundreds or more. 

Beside listening it is important to speak in a language your customer understands.

That is what I love when you explain things. Your language is down to earth and full of 1 dollar words.

If your mind is busy thinking of what to say next, you aren&#039;t completely attentive.  Thus, the most challenging part about being a good listener is to completely clear your mind while you are in listening mode. 

It takes practice ... and seeing the results of TRULY listening ... in order to embrace and be &quot;in the moment&quot; for any conversation.  I suppose it is especially difficult if one is trying to close a sale but, as I said in my post, opening our ears creates new potential.</description>
